SAN FRANCISCO

USA

Some cities you visit. San Francisco you keep trying to describe. I didn't expect to fall for it the way I did. Pictures can never capture the clang of the cable car, the barks of the sea lions, or the brilliance of the iconic international orange of the Bridge, but here is an attempt. I find myself entranced by the intricate gables of the Victorians, surprised by panoramic views tucked around every corner, and completely taken by this place. I’m drawn to how fog, light, and water shape the landscape, the lavender presence of the marine layer, the quiet awe found along the city's edge where the land meets the sea. An ode to the city that stole my heart —

The Monterey cypress lean sideways after decades of ocean wind, their branches tangled against the sky, and yet the sun threads through anyway

Skipping across mossy logs beneath a cathedral of 1,000-year-old redwoods with a child-like traipse

One day, I’ll be back here with my Kaiser and we will frolic along the shore together just like this

Bougainvillea frames an elusive private parking spot

Every neighborhood has an anchor. Boedga cat: on duty, always.

Quintessential SF fog rolling in and lulling Nob Hill into a somnambulate state
